Texas Harvest Dinner 2012
A
showcase of the agriculture achievements of the great State of Texas
Columbus Day, Monday, October 8 at 7:00 PM
Here in the Lone Star State, we are blessed with a large selection of wonderful food, freshly harvested from our great farms. The Valley provides us with the finest citrus fruit, seasonal vegetables and berries. Way out west, we find the sweetest cantaloupes and onions. Up North, Medina is the apple capital of Texas. Down South, there are 450 miles of Gulf shoreline, well stocked with succulent oysters, shrimp, crab, and fresh fish. The Hill Country is famous for exotic antelopes, wild boar, cabrito (baby goat) and quail. Several plateaus in Texas provide very suitable climate to grow excellent grapes, and our domestic wine industry is making headlines in many international competitions. In the low land, we harvest the finest rice, and on the Great Plains our beef industry is prosperous. Turkeys are raised by the thousands in Waco; chickens are from La Grange, and the finest ice cream is produced in Brenham.
We, at Bistro Le Cep, have planned a showcase for this abundance of fine food and wine produced in Texas. Our well trained staff will be at your service.
