Here in the Lone Star State, we are blessed with a large selection of wonderful food, freshly harvested from our great farms.

The Rio Grande Valley provides us with the finest citrus fruit, seasonal vegetables and fresh berries. Way out west, near the Davis Mountains, we find the sweetest cantaloupe, melons and onions. Up North, in Medina, is the apple capital of Texas. Down South, there are 450 miles of Gulf shoreline, well stocked with succulent oysters, shrimp, crab, and fresh fish. The Hill Country is famous for exotic antelopes, wild boar, cabrito (baby goat) and quail.

Several plateaus in Texas provide very suitable climate to grow excellent grapes and our domestic wine industry is making headlines in many international competitions. In the low land, we harvest the finest rice and on the Great Plains our beef industry is prosperous. Turkeys are raised by the thousands in Waco, chickens are from La Grange, and the finest ice cream is still produced in Brenham.
